Fall 2003 Haute Couture Collection

This couture used the complimentary color scheme which the yellow-green of the dress is opposite of the red-violet of the accessories on the coat. I think this couture is harmony in color as the proportion of the red-violet color is appropriate. If the red-violet has dominated or becomes the color of the coat, the whole couture will be rare. Therefore the principle of resemblance was applied in it as the differences between them are less.

This couture are using the receding colors. Although the dominant color of the couture is black, it applies the monochromatic color scheme on some parts to make it more colorful and harmony as well as interesting. On the ruffles and the silk blue clothes of the upper part, it uses the blue color which varied from Pantone 2765 C, 7455 C and 642 C. On the bottom part of the black flares, the violet ruffles with different brightness made this couture more adorable.

This couture use the analogic color scheme, and the three colors are blue-violet, violet and red-violet. For the purple, it uses the tint color and the tone color for the blue-violet. The red-violet is using the shade color. With the differences between them are less and the colors give an similar and unified impression, it is elegant. Besides, with the yellow-green furry collar, the total look becomes more sharp and eye-catching and makes this couture dynamic.

This aggressive color couture give an elegant and feminine image. With the monochromatic color scheme, the changes of brightness in the red-orange color gives equal differences and makes the couture be harmony. The color of the dress used is in high chroma and give shiny and vivid effect. And with the darker color of red-orange of the furry collar and the different saturations between the collar, dress and the shawl it gives a sense of femininity and maturity.
