For the above fashion boutique, I have applied the double complimentary color scheme which is the Red x Green and Violet x Yellow. The principle of order can help tp build up an orderly plan and with the contrast colors , they have the equal differences.
In the fall 2008 couture collection, Lacroix mainly used the black color, which is always the most popular colour in winter. however, to be outstanding and eye-catching, Lacroix design some details in the collection with his talent.
First of all, he has embroidery in the collection, adding the hints of elegance and glamour.
Second, Lacroix also gave the elements of fur. In the collection, there are some outfits with fur on the shoulder parts, showing the signature item of winter.
Next, in the later part of the collection, the dress almost heel-length or even longer. Those couture made from the soft and light materials such as chiffon and with the good ability of drapes , creates the sense of elegance with the every steps a lady walks.
The collection gives the impression that woman can be vary with the different outfit shown in the show.
This outfit has mainly two colours (Pantone 1255 C and Cool grey 2 C) while the other three are the detail parts.with the analogous scheme, Lacroix designs and uses the shade, tint and tone of yellow-orange colour to make this outfit looks harmony.
This outfit also use the analogous scheme of red color. chiffon and the layers used together with the variation in tint, tone and shade made this dress looks more elegant and feminine.
This outfit had completely reflect Lacroix 's style in fashion. Most of his designs in Haute Couture are filled with colours, showing his passion towards fashion. You never see a single color with a simple silhouettes in Lacroix 's collections.
This couture used the monochromatic color scheme. The coat and the dress are the same hue but with different brightness and saturation, conbimed together with the colours of leggings and the high heels, reflecting the principle of resemblance which the differences between them are less.
If we only focus on the dress, it had used the receding colors such as blue, violet and green. With the furry material of the dress, it can have different darkness and lightness in different lighting situation and every movement which will not make people feel bored. For the red leggings, orange high heels and the yellow coat , the colours can greatly form the contrast which promptly made the couture becomes eye-catching.
